000 / Code Review
Codebase Review
A structured, independent look at your codebase: where are the risks, the technical debt, the quick wins? You get a prioritised, actionable findings list, not vague impressions.
001 / Deliverables
What you get
What you end up with, three concrete deliverables, no "gut feeling".
Prioritised findings list
Every finding with severity, location, rationale and a concrete recommendation. Sorted by impact versus effort, so you know what to tackle first.
Architecture & risk overview
Where complexity concentrates, where the cluster risks are, which spots break with the next feature. Including a dependency and hotspot view.
Quick wins called out separately
Measures that pay off in hours rather than weeks, flagged separately so your team can ship immediately.
Optional: live walkthrough
On request I walk your team through the findings in a call, instead of just handing over a PDF.
002 / How it runs
How a review runs
-
01
Access & scope
Read-only access to the repository, a short alignment on the focus: security, performance, architecture or maintainability.
-
02
Analysis
Static analysis, manual review of the critical paths, dependency and hotspot evaluation.
-
03
Report
Prioritised findings list with recommendations, split into quick wins, mid-term and structural.
-
04
Handover
Written report, on request plus a live walkthrough with Q&A for your team.
003 / Price
Fixed price by scope
The price depends on codebase size, technology spread, the depth of output you want and the turnaround. Work out the estimate below yourself; the binding fixed price follows after a short discovery call.
The shown starting price is a provisional estimate for a compact review, no timesheet, no open-ended invoice.
Review package

An estimate based on your input. The fixed price follows after a short discovery call.
005 / Frequent questions
What you probably want to know
Which languages and stacks do you cover?
The focus is Python and the usual web/backend ecosystem; other languages by arrangement. In the discovery call we check whether your stack is sensibly covered before you book.
What access do you need?
Read-only access to the repository is enough, no write permissions, no access to production systems. An NDA on request beforehand.
Do you also implement the findings?
The review itself is analysis. Implementation I can take on at a day rate or guide your team, but that is a separate step.
How long does a review take?
A compact review is typically around two weeks; express in five business days is possible for a surcharge. The calculator reflects both.
Is the calculator price binding?
No, it is an orientation estimate. The binding fixed price I give after a short discovery call where we clarify scope and focus.
